Given the Amber weather alert in place for the South and South East of the country for this Sunday a decision has been taken by the RDA National Office to suspend the classes due to be held at the #RDANationalChampionships on the Sunday.
Sadly Sunday was when most of the Team Epsom RDA participants were due to compete in the dressage classes. It is hugely disappointing for all involved especially our participants: those who were going to experience the thrill of the Nationals for the first time and those who were so looking forward of a return to the Nationals after a three-year break. Epsom RDA supports the decision which has been taken with the welfare of the ponies, participants and volunteers in mind. More details on the decision to suspend the Sunday classes
It is hoped that the participants will be able to compete in the Virtual National Championships scheduled for October. More information on that to follow.
We do have one Team Epsom RDA supported by James’ Jar Of Gifts participant who is scheduled to compete in a showing class on Friday at 14:30 and a dressage class at 10:03 on Saturday. After careful consideration and assuming the weather forecast for Friday and Saturday doesn’t change it has been agreed Epsom RDA should go ahead with this entry. A small team of volunteers will be travelling to #RDANationalChampionships with Romeo and his companion Dazz early on Friday morning, returning late afternoon on Saturday. You can follow Jon and Romeo Horse & Country TV . We will also have an entry in the Arts and Crafts classes.
