Oliver
(1985 - 2007)

14hh, born in 1985 . Oliver is a bay New Forest pony. He came to us in 2002.

Sadly, Oliver had to be put down in May. He had been losing weight and
condition for some time and was suffering from arthritis. After he suffered
a severe injury to his leg in the field, we made the difficult decision that
it would be best not to put him through any more treatment.

Oliver was an invaluable RDA pony, giving daily rides for the last five
years and he also represented us at many levels including Horseman's Sunday,
Horse Shows and the Regional Dressage. He was much loved by all our helpers and riders alike and will be sorely missed.

Oscar

He was one of Epsom RDA's oldest ponies and lived over 30yrs of age.
Oscar loved beng groomed and especailly loved his carrots.

Zelda

Zelda was a 13.2hh black mare.
She looked very much like Minka, and has learned to
undo her lead rope from her next door neighbour, Fizz! She prefered not to be tied up, and so she had a bar across her stall so that she can look out at what is going on. She was lovely to ride as she is so comfortable. Riders adored her. Zelda has now retired and gone to live in a loving and relaxing environment.

Fizzy (stable name: Fizz)

Fizz is a 13.2hh grey gelding. He was born in 1992 and came to us in March 2001. He is very cheeky and has taught some of the other ponies his favourite trick of undoing his lead rope. Like Charlie he loves to have an audience and to do fun things like playing games. He keeps his handlers on their toes!

Minka

Minka is the boss mare! She is 14.1hh and black.
Before she came to RDA, Minka competed in lots of jumping in Regional Competitions with her owner.

She and Zelda make a lovely almost matched pair. Minka was born in 1977 and joined RDA in November 1994. She knew her job very well and expects respect from her handlers! She is very loving when she gets to know you. Minka has now retired and gone back to the owner who originally had her before she came to RDA. We wish her a lovely retrement.

Charlie

Charlie was adored by all. He had a lovely nature. He looked after his riders and enjoyed being hugged. He is very much missed by everyone at RDA.

Crumpet

Crumpet was a Skewbald coloured mare. She was a lovely mare who looked after her riders. Crumpet had a lovely canter, but during her life developed problems whereby she could not longer canter in the school. However, she was very popular with riders and helpers. She was extremely loving and an honest horse.
