| Our
dedicated team of horses and ponies are a very important part of Epsom RDA.
They are loved by helpers and riders alike. We are running a pony adoption scheme to raise money for Epsom RDA, see Adopt a pony for more details. |

Banjo 13.2hh Born 2004 Hello, I’m Banjo and I have been at Epsom RDA since January 2010. It’s great fun here and I have made lots of friends with the other horses, especially Charlie. We show each other tricks, like how to undo ropes! It makes the helpers laugh, well, most of the time! I am blind in one eye but that doesn’t stop me enjoying myself. I’ve done all sorts of things in the past like, dressage, cross country, horseball and now I’m teaching people how to ride. |

Picasso 15.2hh Born 1991 My name is Picasso and I joined Epsom RDA at the beginning of 2010. Before I came here I worked at a riding school for many years so I am very experienced at teaching people how to ride. I like being able to graze out in the big fields here, but I’m always good at being caught when it’s time to come in and give a riding lesson, I even wait at the gate when I see the helpers coming to catch us! |

Mini Milton Milton is a grey Connemara cross breed who joined the RDA in 2008. He has established himself as a gentleman with impeccable manners and a beautifully silky coat. He also has a distinctive upper lip, which he uses just like a giraffe to pull the hay from his haynet! Milton has a steady rhythm in walk, trot and canter giving his riders great confidence. Milton works both with riders learning to ride independently and also with those who require support from side walkers. He has also taken mandy riders to compete in the South East Regional Dressage Competitions held at Hickstead. |

Moss is a handsome Highland pony, who is a firm favourite with many helpers and riders. He has a brilliant manner with the disabled riders being very calm and steady. Moss had done lots of showing competitions with his previous owners and has represented Epsom RDA in the South East Regional Dressage Championships at Hickstead being placed 2nd in 2007. He also completed the Surrey Pony Club Le Trec ride in 2008 being placed 3rd along with Ozzy in the paired riders section. |

Buffy Buffy is a grey mare and is the “Barbie doll” out of all our ponies. Buffy likes nothing better than being pampered and fussed over when she is being groomed. She is a superb RDA horse being good with a wide range of riders and is a particular favourite with many of our younger riders. Buffy was donated to Epsom RDA by The Croydon & District Province of the R.O.A.B. by Brother Dave Marriott PGP in 2003 |

Myrtle Myrtle is a Skewbald mare (skewbald horses have brown and white markings). Myrtle is noted for her very sweet temper and gentle nature making her an excellent RDA horse. Myrtle is a very experienced RDA horse and in the past has represented Epsom RDA at the South East Regional Dressage Competition and came 2nd in the regional championships held at Hickstead in 2005. |

Lady Marigold of Monreith Marigold is a Highland pony with a flowing mane and tail, which the helpers like to plait. Marigold takes this in her stride assuming a rather superior expression living up to her entitled name! Marigold competes in dressage competitions with our young riders with tremendous success. Marigold has helped one of our riders qualify for the National Championships at Hartpury College where they came in 1st place for two years in succession! We are extremely proud of Marigolds’ achievements. |

Charlie Chaz Charlie is a super pony (and a bit of a cheeky chap!) who is great at dressage and has competed in the South East Regional Dressage Competition at Hickstead, where he achieved 1st place with his rider in his first competition with Epsom RDA. He also enjoys gymkhana games. Charlie is the smallest pony in the RDA stable but that that doesn’t stop him from showing everyone how fast he can canter when he is turned out into the field! Charlie was bought for Epsom RDA with funds raised from the Balance Feed Trec organised by Jenny and Andrew Snowdon in September 2005 |

Blue Meadow Thor is a dappled grey and looks like a thundercloud, which is just as well as his name means ‘God of Thunder’. He lives up to his name when it’s feed time as he bangs his hooves on the stable door demanding his food. However, Thor is very gentle with all his riders and is patient with riders who require side walkers, making him a great asset to Epsom RDA. |

Tosca At 15.3 hands high Tosca is our biggest horse in the yard and one of the longest serving joining us in 1999. She is a piebald mare (piebald horses have black and white markings). Tosca is known for her patience and gentle nature and has a smooth trot that puts our riders at ease. Tosca used to be afraid of metal gates, but now has accepted that they are not going to attack her!

Badger Badger is a piebald gelding (piebald horses have black and white markings) and is a gentle giant, who can be scared by a silly thing like an open car boot(!), but always takes good care of his riders. Badger was trained as a dressage horse by his previous owner and still loves to show off his perfect square halts! Badger has competed at the South Eastern Regional Dressage Championships held Hickstead. Badger came to Epsom RDA with the money raised by the CIA team from the Surrey Police force. |
