Events
are held throughout the year to provide
both an enjoyable day for all and a fund raising opportunity.
Events help to aid social interaction between volunteers and the riders
and to show the public how effectively we use the resources they kindly

Fun Day Each years events have included a Fun Day where we invite members of the public to look around our facilities and enjoy an afternoon with us. The event helps to raise much needed funds. This year we raised around £1000 at the Fun Day. Which was held at St Ebba's Farm in July. The aims of the event are to give us a chance to show the public the benefits that our riders get from the service we provide and to bring the riders, their families and the helpers together to enjoy themselves. On the day we have riding demonstrations in the riding school and other attractions and stalls set out over St Ebba's Farm. Finance is raised on the day through local sponsorship, various game stalls, tombolas, raffles and bric-a- brac stalls etc. Past
fun day events included: The musical ride was a big hit as always. It was enthusiasticly performed to the Charlston. The horses and riders were decorated with feathers. A big thankyou to everyone for putting in so much time and effort. We also had a performance from prize winners of the Harold Newton Dressage competition. Well done to all! There
will be another Harold Newton Dressage competition next year held at the
St Ebbas Farm, The date is yet to be arranged. Further details coming
soon! |

We have an
annual Prize giving evening where all our members and riders get together
and our riders achievements are recognized by the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell
who presents well earned prizes to our riders. We show the riders how
much we appreciate their efforts over the year. |

Horseman's Sunday We
usually take some of our horses with disabled riders up to Epsom Downs
in September when Horseman's Sunday is held. This yearly event is held
on the Downs inside the racecourse. There is an interdenominational service
in which thanks are given for the horses and the ponies. This is followed
by a parade of the horses round the Tattenham Corner section of the Derby
Course. Everyone participating receives a rosette. |

Events marked 'Open' are open for all Other social
events such as Barbecues, Christmas parties etc. are held throughout the
year which gives a chance for the helpers, riders and families to mix
socially outside the riding sessions. |
