Events are held throughout the year to provide both an enjoyable day for all and a fund raising opportunity
. Events help to aid social interaction between volunteers and the riders and to show the public how

Fun Day

Each years events have included a Fun Day where we invite members of the public to look around our facilities and enjoy an afternoon with us. The event helps to raise much needed funds. This year we raised around £1000 at the Fun Day. Which was held at St Ebba's Farm in July. The aims of the event are to give us a chance to show the public the benefits that our riders get from the service we provide and to bring the riders, their families and the helpers together to enjoy themselves. On the day we have riding demonstrations in the riding school and other attractions and stalls set out over St Ebba's Farm. Finance is raised on the day through local sponsorship, various game stalls, tombolas, raffles and bric-a- brac stalls etc.

Royal Visit 2006 : HRH The Princess Royal Visits Regional Fun Day

We were delighted to welcome our patron, HRH The Princess Royal to our Annual Fun Day held at Epsom RDA. Her Royal Highness was invited to open the Group's Stables followed by a tour of the areanas where hundreds of our riders from throughout the regions came to participate in a range of events.

One year we had a python on show who proved to be quite friendly and popular with those brave enough to have a close look.

The musical ride was a big hit as always. It was enthusiasticly performed to the Charlston. The horses and riders were decorated with feathers. A big thankyou to everyone for putting in so much time and effort.

We also had a performance from prize winners of the Harold Newton Dressage competition. Well done to all!

There will be another Harold Newton Dressage competition next year held at the St Ebbas Farm, The date is yet to be arranged. Further details coming soon!

Prize giving

We have an annual Prize giving evening where all our members and riders get together and our riders achievements are recognized by the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell who presents well earned prizes to our riders. We show the riders how much we appreciate their efforts over the year.

Trophies are presented to riders who have been judged to achieve most in each session during the year and shields are presented to all the riders who have passed proficiency tests.

The next Prize Giving will be held on 10TH NOVEMBER 2011   at venue: Blenheim High

Horse Shows:
We hold an Annual Open Horse Show at EpsomRDA. The main purpose of the show is to raise funds for the Group but it also provides good publicity and brings our Group to the attention of the horse riding community. Funds are raised for the show through sponsorship from local businesses and people and entrance fees paid by the competitors. Each show class is judged by experienced judges who kindly donate their time to the show.
